Section 3. No person shall be eligible to the office of Governor or Lieutenant Governor, who is less than thirty years of age or who has not been, for ten years next preceding his election, a citizen of the United States and of this State; or who holds office under the United States at the time of the election; nor shall any person elected Governor be eligible as his own immediate successor.
